Professional Civil Engineer– Consulting Industry Full Time

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join a leading engineering team in Johannesburg. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled professional to take on a senior technical and leadership role in the planning, design, and delivery of major civil infrastructure projects.

Minimum Requirements

• BSc Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 15+ years’ experience in design, site supervision, and contract documentation across civil engineering projects.
• Professional Registration (Pr Eng) with ECSA.
• At least 3 years’ experience in managing Expanded Public Works type projects.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D and strong knowledge of municipal infrastructure design.

• Strong technical knowledge in roads, sewerage, water, and stormwater systems.
• Advanced civil design capability, especially in complex projects

Key Responsibilities

• Lead projects as a Senior Design Engineer.
• Manage project inception, costing, and feasibility studies.
• Compile and review technical and project reports.
• Oversee project staff in draughting, design, and detailing.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards.
• Review and sign off project designs and drawings.
• Prepare budgets and manage project finances.
• Draft contract documentation, technical specifications, and monitor construction contracts.
• Drive client engagement, tendering, and business development initiatives.
• Mentor, coach, and develop technicians, technologists, and engineers.
• Assist with staff resource management and training within the division.
