Procurement Manager – Cape Town Full Time

RPO Recruitment is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to join our client’s team in Blackheath, Cape Town. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented professional to oversee and optimize procurement operations within a dynamic manufacturing or logistics environment. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure continuous supply of materials
• Manage supplier relationships and build long-term partnerships
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand procurement needs and improve procurement processes
• Manage procurement documentation and maintain accurate records

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or related field
• Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar role
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
• Excellent knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques
• Familiarity with SAP or other procurement software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and a strong commitment to operational excellence
