Planner Short Term – Mining Industry – R1.3mil – R1.1mil Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s Client is urgently seeking the expertise of an Planner Short Term in the Northern Cape. The successful candidate will ensure that through effective mine planning, sufficient ore at the right quality is readily available for extraction in the Short Term (8 weeks to 12 months maximum).

Responsibilities:

• Computer literacy
• Basic user of MS Word, PowerPoint and Projects
• Intermediate user of Excel
• Intermediate user of Qlikview
• Intermediate user of MineStar, CEAS, QMaster, MRM databases
• Functional knowledge
• Working understanding of surveying, blast design and mine planning processes
• Planning and organizing
• Ability to effectively plan various aspects of the job
• Communication
• Advanced communication skills to communicate unfamiliar information to others
• Practical application of theories
• Three dimensional thinking
• Ability to visualize 4D models

Requirements:

• SAIMM (SA Institute for Mining Metallurgy)
• National Diploma (NQF level 6) in Mining Engineering
• B Tech Degree (NQF level 7) in Mining Engineering / Metalliferous
• Blasting Ticket in Mining Engineering or equivalent
• 8 years operational Hard Rock/Base Metal/Iron Ore type surface mining experience
• Operational Mine Planning experience
