RPO Recruitment is actively seeking a skilled Outbound Shipping Manager to join our client’s team in Cape Town (Ottery). This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to oversee and optimize shipping operations in a fast-paced logistics environment. Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate outbound shipping operations to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Oversee the packing, labeling, and dispatching of shipments to meet customer requirements.
- Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and company policies.
- Track and monitor shipments to resolve any delays or issues promptly.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff, transport providers, and customer service teams.
- Implement strategies to improve shipping efficiency and reduce costs.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, invoices, and inventory.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of the shipping team and provide necessary training.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (a tertiary qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management is a plus).
- Proven experience in outbound shipping or logistics management.
- Strong knowledge of shipping regulations and documentation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
- Proficient in using shipping and inventory management software.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail.
