Operations Manager – Somerset West Full Time

RPO Recruitment is actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join our client’s team in Somerset West. Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations and ensure optimal performance across departments
• Manage logistics, supply chain, and inventory control processes
• Ensure compliance with wine export and distribution regulations
• Monitor and analyze key operational metrics to drive continuous improvement
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline business processes
• Lead and mentor operations staff to foster a high-performance culture
• Coordinate with external stakeholders, including suppliers and transporters
• Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality
• Drive operational strategies aligned with overall business objectives
• Ensure health and safety standards are maintained across all functions

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
• Proven experience in operations management, ideally in the beverage distribution or FMCG industry
• Familiarity with wine export/distribution regulations and industry standards
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of initiative and a proactive approach to challenges
• Proficiency in logistics and inventory management software
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive results
• Experience managing logistics within Africa will be considered a significant advantage
