A reputable food manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Operations Manager with strong exposure to fresh and perishable product environments. The successful candidate will have proven experience within meat, fish, dairy, or poultry production facilities, managing high volumes of short shelf-life products in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations within a food manufacturing environment.
Manage and coordinate production across a portfolio of 200+ SKUs with short shelf life.
Ensure effective handling of fresh and perishable products, including meat, fish, dairy, and poultry.
Oversee dry goods and packaging processes within the manufacturing operation.
Maintain operational efficiency in a high-volume, fast-paced production environment.
Ensure quality, compliance, and adherence to food safety standards.
Lead, manage, and develop production and supervisory teams to achieve operational targets.
Monitor stock levels, demand planning, and production scheduling to minimise waste and shrinkage.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise processes, reduce downtime, and improve overall plant performance.
Requirements:
Proven experience in the food manufacturing industry (essential).
Direct experience working with fresh and perishable products.
Background in meat, fish, dairy, or poultry production environments.
Experience managing a large SKU portfolio within a manufacturing setting.
Strong hands-on operational management experience in a complex, fast-paced environment.
