A leading payment solutions company is seeking a motivated Junior Developer to join their growing team in Stellenbosch (Hybrid). This is an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled individual with a passion for development to work on secure, high-volume transaction systems. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
 • Perform technical integration of new clients into existing systems.
 • Conduct development testing and support continuous integration processes.
 • Maintain and enhance current system functionality.
 • Design and develop new features and system improvements.
 • Provide 3rd line support and resolve technical queries.
 • Support system security requirements and participate in audits.
 • Continuously improve development techniques, tools, and processes.
Requirements:
 • Tertiary qualification (or equivalent) in Software Development, Computer Science, or Engineering.
 • 2–3 years’ relevant software development experience.
 • Strong experience in Java (Standard and Enterprise Editions) and Spring Boot.
 • Proficiency in SQL (MS SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL).
 • Experience with development tools such as Eclipse or NetBeans, Maven, and Git.
 • Experience working in a continuous integration and testing environment.
 • Understanding of OpenAPI protocols.
 • Exposure to financial transaction processing systems (advantageous).
 • Experience with high-volume, real-time or multi-threaded systems (advantageous).
 • Postilion development experience (advantageous).
 • Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban (advantageous).
 • Front-end development experience using Angular (advantageous).
