Junior Civil Engineer | Consulting Industry Full Time

A civil engineering practice based in Paarl is looking to appoint a Junior Civil Engineer to join its team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a young civil engineer who is looking to grow their technical experience within a professional and established office environment.

Minimum Requirements

• BEng / BSc Civil Engineering or relevant Civil Engineering qualification.
• 1–3 years’ relevant experience preferred.
• Practical experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Good understanding of civil engineering principles and design.
• Strong technical and analytical ability.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a professional team environment.
• Afrikaans-speaking.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with civil engineering design and project work.
• Prepare and develop technical drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Assist senior engineers with project deliverables and technical documentation.
• Participate in the preparation of engineering designs and drawings.
• Assist with site-related requirements and project coordination where required.
• Ensure drawings and technical work are accurate and completed within project deadlines.
• Work collaboratively with engineers, technicians, and other project team members.
• Develop technical knowledge and gain further exposure across civil engineering projects.

The ideal candidate will be a motivated Junior Civil Engineer with 1–3 years’ experience, good AutoCAD Civil 3D skills, and a genuine interest in developing their career within a smaller, established engineering practice.

Afrikaans-speaking candidates are preferred to align with the existing office environment and culture.
