Junior Building QS – Construction Industry Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s client, an established building contractor is seeking a motivated Junior Building Quantity Surveyor to join their site team on a retail development in Pretoria. This position is available immediately and will initially be offered on a limited-duration contract, with the possibility of permanent employment based on performance.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Measurement of labour-only subcontractor work (brickwork, plaster, formwork, etc.)
• General site measurement and quantity verification
• Administration of Contract Instructions
• Attending and contributing to site meetings
• Assisting with order quantity verification and better buying
• Supporting the commercial team with day-to-day site QS duties

Requirements:

• National Diploma in Building/BTech/BSc degree in Quantity Surveying
• Approximately 1–2 years of practical site experience
• Have completed their studies and be available for full-time work
• Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Be comfortable interacting daily with subcontractors and site labour
• Be computer literate and detail-oriented
• Proficient in MS Office, RIB CCS Candy, QTO, BuildSmart
• Own transport preferred

Benefits:

Salary:  R120K – R300K CTC per annum
