Instrumentation Technician – Paper & Packaging Industry – Rosslyn, Gauteng Full Time

RPO Recruitment is actively seeking a skilled Instrumentation Technician to join our client’s team in Rosslyn, Gauteng. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to take on the responsibility of maintaining, calibrating, and repairing instrumentation and control systems within a fast-paced industrial environment. Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and calibration of instrumentation and control systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems.
• Install, configure, and commission new instrumentation and automation equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards while performing maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, calibrations, and system modifications.
• Work closely with the engineering and production teams to optimize system performance.
• Assist in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance plans.

Requirements:

• National Diploma or Trade Certificate in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Instrumentation Technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of PLC systems, SCADA, and process control instrumentation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of industrial safety standards and best practices.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
