General Manager – Production – Food Manufacturing Full Time

RPO Recruitment, a leading recruitment agency in the food manufacturing industry, is searching for a highly skilled and experienced General Manager – Production. Joining our client’s team in the food manufacturing industry, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing production operations, ensuring quality standards, and driving continuous improvement.

As the General Manager – Production, you will manage a team of production managers and supervisors, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and implement strategies to enhance productivity, efficiency, and profitability. Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize production operations, ensuring targets for safety, quality, productivity, and cost are met
• Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce waste
• Manage and mentor a team of production managers and supervisors, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance, to achieve production targets and resolve operational issues
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and food safety requirements
• Monitor and analyze production data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, such as lean manufacturing and process optimization
• Prepare and manage production budgets, including cost control and forecasting

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in production management within the food manufacturing industry
• Proven track record of achieving production targets and improving operational efficiency
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Excellent knowledge of food manufacturing processes and quality standards
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
