Forklift Mechanic – Cape Town Full Time

RPO Recruitment is actively seeking a skilled Forklift Mechanic to join our client’s team in Cape Town. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to take on the responsibility of maintaining and repairing a fleet of forklifts and other material handling equipment in a busy warehouse environment. If you have a passion for mechanics and a strong understanding of forklift operations, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of forklifts to ensure they operate efficiently
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and perform repairs as needed
• Replace and repair faulty components to minimize downtime
• Document all maintenance and repair work performed
• Order parts and materials from suppliers to support repair work
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Proven experience as a Forklift Mechanic
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals
• Team-oriented with good communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
