Job Description:
RPO Recruitment’s client are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and operations of their logistics facility in Centurion. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the facility, including building maintenance, security, environmental health and safety, and vendor management. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth operation of the facility and create a safe and comfortable work environment for employees.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement facilities management policies and procedures
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of the facility’s infrastructure, including HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance services
• Manage the facility’s security systems and protocols to protect the building and its occupants
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any maintenance or safety issues
• Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures
• Monitor and manage the facility’s budget and expenses
• Provide regular reports to upper management on the facility’s maintenance and operations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Facilities Manager or similar role in the logistics industry
• Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance best practices
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Experience managing budgets and expenses
• Knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations
• Certification in facilities management or a related field is a plus
