Drives and PLC Sales Representative Full Time

RPO’s client is actively seeking an experienced Drives and PLC Sales Representative to join their team in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN). This is an exciting opportunity for a driven sales professional with a background in variable speed drives (VSDs), programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and industrial automation.

This is a full-time, onsite position.

Responsibilities:

• Grow the turnover of VSD and PLC sales.
• Identify new opportunities and customers in the VSD and PLC market.
• Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients.
• Act as the primary contact for technical support on VSD and PLC products.
• Educate customers on the benefits of the company’s VSD and PLC solutions.
• Conduct sales calls independently or with other representatives to meet targets.
• Develop business opportunities through prospecting and marketing efforts.
• Follow up on quotes and provide customer feedback to management.
• Maintain a strong sales pipeline aligned with company targets.
• Provide monthly sales reports on progress and goals.
• Travel locally to develop new business and service existing accounts.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in sales related to VSDs, PLCs, or industrial automation.
• Knowledge of:
  • Variable frequency drives and PLCs.
  • Modbus and other communication protocols.
  • Basic electrical requirements for VSDs.
  • CRM systems and sales processes.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, be detail-oriented, and adhere to safety guidelines.
• Sales qualifications or training would be an advantage.
