Job Description:
RPO’s client is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with a focus on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines in a timely and efficient manner. The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for conducting routine maintenance on diesel engines, troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical issues, performing engine overhauls, and making necessary repairs to ensure the proper functioning of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.
Responsibilities:
– Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines, including changing oil, filters, and fluids
– Diagnose mechanical issues with diesel engines and determine the best course of action for repair
– Conduct engine overhauls when necessary, including rebuilding engines and replacing worn parts
– Repair and replace faulty components, such as fuel systems, cooling systems, and exhaust systems
– Test-drive vehicles to ensure proper functioning and performance of diesel engines
– Keep accurate records of work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and repair costs
– Adhere to safety protocols and regulations when working on diesel engines
– Maintain a clean and organized work environment
