Cost AND Management Accountant Full Time

We have a fantastic FMCG industry client looking for their next Cost and Management Accountant. This role is located in Cape Town. ​

Responsibilities

• Support budgeting and funding
• Assist the company in managing its investment portfolio
• Assume responsibility for accounting procedures
• Evaluate the company’s performance using key data
• Make forecasts to assist business planning and decision-making
• Advise on problems and suggest improvements
• Supervise lower-level personnel
• Collect cost information and maintain an expenses database
• Construct data accumulation systems
• Plan and record variable costs (e.g. purchases of raw material and operations costs)
• Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies
• Assisting in month-end and year-end closing
• Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions

Requirements:

• Solid knowledge of basic and advanced accounting and financial principles and practices
• Excellent knowledge of cost accounting and reporting
• Excellent knowledge of risk analysis, budgeting and forecasting
• Working knowledge of financial software and MS Office
• A problem-solver with attention to detail
• CIMA
• CA(SA)
• Minimum 3-5 years of FMCG experience
• Beverage and raw materials experience advantageous
