Construction Buyer – Construction Industry Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s client, a reputable and well established construction and development firm in the Western Cape is currently on the lookout for a hardworking and committed Group Buyer who can join their successful and growing team in Somerset West as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

• Identifying suitable suppliers
• Communicating and liaising with suppliers
• Process all relevant supplier applications and administration
• Price negotiation with suppliers
• Communicate with building and development sites regarding operational stock requirements
• Ordering of stock required and follow up with suppliers
• Process all relevant in-house paperwork and administration
• Collaborate on multiple projects

Requirements:

• Relevant Purchasing/Supply Chain/Business/Commerce Qualification
• At least 2 years’ experience in the procurement field particularly in the construction and development sector
• Proficiency in MS Office and Pastel Accounting Software
• Strong accuracy skills with numerical aptitude and good work ethics
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
