Civil Surveyor – Construction Industry Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s client, a leading civil construction company in Cape Town is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Surveyor to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale infrastructure projects with a well-established and reputable contractor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct site surveys, setting out, and levelling for civil construction projects
• Interpret drawings and ensure accurate implementation on site
• Perform as-built surveys and maintain accurate survey records
• Work closely with engineers, site agents, and foremen to ensure alignment with design specifications
• Monitor and verify levels, alignments, and positions of structures
• Ensure all survey equipment is properly maintained and calibrated
• Assist with resolving site discrepancies and technical queries

Requirements:

• National Diploma in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or similar qualification
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a Civil Surveyor within the construction industry
• Proven experience on civil infrastructure projects (roads, earthworks, stormwater, pipelines, or structures)
• Proficiency in survey equipment such as Total Stations, GPS, and relevant software (e.g. Civil 3D)
• Strong understanding of construction drawings and site procedures
• Valid driver’s license
