Civil Project Manager – Consulting Industry Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s client, a well-established civil and structural engineering consulting firm in South Africa is currently searching for a committed, reliable and hardworking Project Manager who can join their dynamic team in Cape Town. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing civil engineering projects from planning to execution, ensuring delivery that meets quality, budgetary, and time expectations.

This hybrid role combines technical site supervision with project management, including stakeholder coordination, reporting, and quality control.

Requirements:

• National Diploma in Civil Engineering
• BTech/Masters or similar degree in Project Management
• Candidate or professional registration with ECSA
• At least 5 years’ experience working in the field of civil engineering and project management across public and private sector projects
• Proven experience in housing developments, building maintenance, landfill sites, and infrastructure upgrades; municipal infrastructure projects; and the maintenance and refurbishment of building sites including heritage sites
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Proficiency in surveying, construction supervision, and quality control
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Knowledge of construction safety standards and environmental compliance
• Excellent note-taking, report writing, and MS Word/Excel proficiency
• Familiarity with ECSA/SACPCMP Stage 1–6 deliverables
• Competency in using AI tools for documentation and productivity
• Site based civil or building project experience essential
