Building Site Agent – Construction Industry Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s client, a reputable building contractor based in Johannesburg is seeking an experienced and motivated Site Agent to oversee the day-to-day management of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential developments, with additional experience in warehousing or industrial projects considered highly beneficial.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional with strong technical, coordination, and leadership skills to join a stable and growing contractor.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities to ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Coordinate subcontractors, site staff, suppliers, and consultants.
• Interpret and implement drawings, specifications, and construction plans.
• Conduct regular site meetings and progress reporting.
• Monitor project schedules, resources, and costs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Resolve site-related issues and communicate effectively with project stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Site Agent in the residential building sector
• Experience in warehousing or industrial projects will be advantageous
• Strong technical and construction management skills
• Proficiency in MS Projects (advantageous) and MS Office
• Excellent communication, planning, and leadership abilities
• A proactive, results-driven individual with strong attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to sites as required

Benefits:

Salary:  R540K – R600K CTC per annum
