Auto Electrician: TMM Full Time

A High-Performance mine based in the North West has an exciting opportunity for a Auto Electrician TMM! The successful candidate will be deliver applied trade as and when required. It is responsible for the day to day legal preventative maintenance of TMMs. The role reports to the TMM Foreman. If this sounds like you, apply now!

Responsibilities:

• Provide subject matter expertise and skills in area of responsibility; advising on solutions to enhance or ensure the effectiveness of the department/section.
• Running diagnostic tests on vehicles.
• Analysing diagnostic test results.
• Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems.
• Checking vehicle lighting systems.
• Test driving vehicles to gauge performance.
• Performing preventative maintenance on TMMs (i.e. Drill Rigs, Bolter Rigs, Dump Trucks, Telehandlers, etc.)
• Maintaining detailed records of serviced TMMs.
• Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist.
• Maintaining a parts inventory.
• Ensuring good housekeeping
• Ensure standard of maintenance work is achieved and preventing repeatable failures.
• In possession of a valid driver’s licence

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or N3 in the relevant field
• Relevant Trade Certificate through a recognised institution and apprenticeship (section 13/ 26D) in Auto Electrician.
• 5 years’ post qualification experience as an appointed Auto Electrician is essential of which 3 years should be in an underground and surface Trackless mining environment.
• Knowledge on Electro-Hydraulics or relevant experience is essential
• Knowledge of diesel engine components and/or diagnosis of TMM electrical equipment
