Job Title: Warehouse and Distributions Manager
Location: Olifantsfontein
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our clients team as a Warehouse and Distributions Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, including inventory management, shipping and receiving, and distribution of products. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to effectively manage a team of warehouse personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to support operational growth and achieve business targets
- Manage and supervise staff, providing guidance and mentorship to help them achieve their KPIs and grow within the organization
- Maintain and enforce all health and safety protocols in the warehouse, including conducting regular toolbox talks with staff
- Ensure all equipment, vehicles, and forklifts are in good working order and adhere to safety requirements
- Investigate and document all incidents within the department using the Sheqsys system
- Maintain 5S standards and ensure proper housekeeping in the warehouse
- Adhere to relevant ISO Quality and Environmental standards and maintain necessary documentation for audits
- Obtain quotes for capex, maintenance, and other purchases as needed
- Optimize warehouse layout for space utilization and safe storage of stocks, ensuring FIFO and batch traceability
- Maintain inventory accuracy through tight control of inbound and outbound movements, regular counts, and record-keeping
- Maintain all necessary documentation and records as per company requirements
Qualifications:
- Matric/Grade 12
- National Diploma in Warehouse and Logistics
- Management or financial management advantageous
- Qualification in supply chain management or a relevant field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in warehouse management in FMCG industry
- Auditing and stock reconciliation experience
- Proficiency in Excel and Sage
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Effective leadership and communication skills
- Self-motivated and diligent
