Underground General Manager Full Time

A great mining company in Middelburg, Mpumalanga is seeking the expertise of an Underground General Manager to join their team of professionals. 

Responsibilities

• Heading up of the underground mining division
• Extensive experience in contracting to blue chip clients
• Manage mining contracts profitably
• Lead and drive the Operations disciplines and teams to achieve organisational objectives in alignment to overall strategy and plans
• Design and develop the Operations’ structures to meet business requirements
• Accountability for Performance Management
• Accountability for Safety management
• Build and lead successful teams
• Achieve targets in a dynamic and competitive business environment
• Successfully lead a diverse group of employees

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Degree in Mining Engineering
• Mine Managers Certificate of Competency
• Blasting Certificate for Underground Scheduled Mines
• 15 – 20 years’ experience in underground mining environment
• Minimum 10 years at senior management level

Benefits

• Salary: R1.7M/yr – R1.9M/yr, negotiable
