Senior Process Engineer – Pyrometallurgy Full Time

A well-established engineering consultancy’s Metals team in Johannesburg is seeking a Senior Process Engineer with deep pyrometallurgical expertise. Working across local and global projects, you will lead process engineering from Concept Study through to Detailed Engineering and operational support — contributing your technical knowledge to some of the industry’s most complex and rewarding challenges.

Requirements: 

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, Chemistry, or a relevant discipline
• 8+ years’ process engineering experience in operations and/or engineering consultancy
• Strong focus on pyrometallurgical processes — base metals, PGMs, ironmaking and/or ilmenite preferred preferred
• Demonstrated ability to lead studies and act as a senior technical resource
• Knowledge of global pyrometallurgical process plants, key industry players, and sector challenges
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage client relationships
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment
• Valid driver’s license
• Own reliable transport
