Senior Geotechnical Engineer– Engineering & Mining Consulting Industry NEW

A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a seasoned Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their Johannesburg team. This is a senior client-facing role offering the opportunity to lead complex geotechnical designs, grow a junior team, and contribute to business development

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited university
• Postgraduate degree in Geotechnical Engineering essential
• Registered Professional Engineer essential
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a relevant geotechnical field within the consulting industry essential
• Experience working on projects in a multidisciplinary environment
• Sound understanding of design engineering codes and technical standards
• Strong written skills — reports, proposals, and project deliverables
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Good planning and organisational skills
• Ability to function without close supervision
• Good safety awareness
• Occasional travel to project sites and other offices required
• Valid driver’s license
• Own reliable transport
