Senior Accountant Full Time

A professional accounting and financial services firm is looking for a qualified and experienced SAIPA/SAICA-registered Senior Accountant to join their team in Swellendam. The role focuses on delivering high-quality accounting, tax, and advisory services to a diverse client base while ensuring compliance with professional standards and accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly and annual accounting processing and review activities
• Prepare and review financial statements for clients
• Manage taxation-related matters and ensure compliance with tax legislation
• Provide client advisory and professional financial support
• Maintain strong client relationships and deliver high-quality service
• Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
• Ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to accounting standards

Requirements:

• SAIPA or SAICA qualified (or in final stages of registration) – essential
• Minimum 5 years post-articles experience in an accounting practice
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting and taxation principles
• Experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements
• Excellent client relationship and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English
• Strong professional judgement and attention to detail
