RPO Recruitment’s client, currently seeking a skilled and experienced Section Engineer to join our team. As a Section Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operations of mining projects, focusing on safety, efficiency, and productivity. Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Manage and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure equipment availability and reliability
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies and plans
- Monitor and analyze operational data to identify areas for optimization
- Oversee the training and development of engineering personnel
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related field
- GCC Mines and Works
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Section Engineer in an Open Cast mining environment
- Proven Experience with Heavy Earth Moving Equipment
- Strong knowledge of mining regulations and best practices
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Willingness to work in the Northern Cape
