SAQCC Fire Detection Commissioner – Safety Full Time

RPO Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced SAQCC Fire Detection Commissioner to join our client’s team. Our client is a reputable company specializing in fire detection and protection systems.

As an SAQCC Fire Detection Commissioner, you will be responsible for the commissioning and certification of fire detection systems in accordance with the South African Qualification & Certification Committee (SAQCC) regulations.

Responsibilities

• Commission fire detection systems according to the requirements of the SAQCC-FD Commissioning Code and other applicable standards
• Conduct inspections and tests to ensure the correct operation of fire detection systems
• Identify and rectify issues or faults in fire detection systems
• Provide guidance and support to technicians and other team members
• Maintain accurate records of commissioning activities
• Stay updated with the latest industry standards and regulations
• Collaborate with clients to ensure their specific requirements are met
• Participate in training and professional development activities as required

• Valid SAQCC Fire Detection Commissioner registration
• Extensive experience in commissioning fire detection systems
• Thorough knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., SANS 10139)
• Excellent technical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage time and priorities
• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to travel to client sites when necessary
