Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Monitor and manage patient conditions, including administering medication and treatments.
• Operate and maintain specialized ICU equipment with precision and care.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care.
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families during challenging times.
• Document all care activities accurately and in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure a safe clinical environment.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Nursing with a valid SANC registration as a Professional Nurse.
• Must have a Critical Care Diploma to qualify.
• ICU qualification and/or significant experience in an intensive care setting.
• Proven ability to handle complex medical cases with a calm and professional demeanor.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry best practices.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends.
