RPO Recruitment’s client is looking for a Production Manager to join their team in Kommetjie, Western Cape. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong manufacturing experience in the food industry. You will be responsible for overseeing daily production and ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance across all processes.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the Biscuit Production Department, including planning and team supervision.
Manage raw materials, packaging, and finished goods to ensure efficient production flow.
Ensure timely enrobing of biscuit and cake products in the chocolate room, minimizing waste and rejections.
Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions to achieve production targets.
Support new product development and coordinate factory trials with the Process Technologist.
Maintain accurate production records and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
Lead and motivate diverse teams, fostering a positive and high-performance work environment.
Plan and execute seasonal production schedules, such as Christmas and special occasion product ranges.
Requirements:
Grade 12/Matric.
Tertiary Qualification in Production, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or Food Science.
Minimum 5 years of experience in the food industry or similar manufacturing sector.
At least 3 years in a middle management role.
