A High-Performance mine based in the North West has an exciting opportunity for a Concentrator Plant Manager! The successful candidate will be responsible for the running of the metallurgical plant, delivery of capital projects, targeted at the continuous improvement and efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Implement systems and processes to facilitate zero harm and achievement of environmental regulatory standards;
- Development and approval of safe work procedures as part of training material;
- Drive and promote the achievement of SHEQ standards in all projects.
- Oversee the analysis of flow of events in processes to identify bottlenecks and causes for obstacles;
- Review and implement strategies to overcome problems highlighted by the analysis trends produced from data by process engineers to identify significant trends in processes, repetitive failures and availability constraints;
- Develop a three (3) year production plan;
- Ensure that tons milled, concentrate tons, plant recovery, mass pull, concentrate grade and tailings grade are as per targets;
- Review and approve labour plans around operational targets;
- Provide leadership and inspire team members towards high performance;
- Ensure that team members have Individual Performance Plans and Personal Development plan in place, and it is updated timeously provide coaching to team members on on-going basis;
Requirements:
- Eng. Degree / B. Tech in Engineering (Metallurgy / Chemical)
- Experience in operating PGM crushing, milling, and floatation circuits
- Registration with Professional Engineers (ECSA)
- At least five (5) years’ experience as PGM Concentrator Plant Superintendent
- Business qualification will be advantageous
