Planner – Construction Industry Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s client, a leading building contractor in South Africa, is currently seeking to employ a qualified, dedicated and hardworking Planner who can join their Production/Estimating department in Johannesburg as soon as possible.   

Responsibilities:

• Assist with Tender Programming
• Creates, maintains, reviews and administers construction schedules and programs
• Manages variations on current projects and provides input and support for EOT Claims
• Ensure that a programme is delivered at Tender Stage that reflects the complexity of the tendered project, including the pricing of P&G relative to the program
• Responsible for the updating of progress on projects, the resource schedules, assessment of delays and their effect for Extension of Time Claims in order to ensure projects are up to date and completed on time

Requirements:

• Relevant Planning Qualification/National Diploma in Building/BTech in Construction Management or similar
• 10+ Years’ technical and relevant experience
• Excellent computer skills with advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word
• Advanced skills in Communication, Conflict Management, Planning and Organising
• Valid driver’s license essential
• Willingness to travel for projects
