Lending Supervisor Full Time

A reputable financial services company is looking for an experienced Lending Supervisor with strong credit assessment, loan administration, collections, and team leadership experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing lending operations, ensuring sound credit decisions, managing loan portfolios, driving collections activities, and maintaining compliance with lending policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and supervise daily lending activities to ensure efficient loan processing and portfolio management.
• Implement loan origination strategies and support the lending team throughout the application process.
• Review and recommend funding applications, highlighting key risks, mitigants, and deviations where applicable.
• Lead and manage complex lending transactions.
• Oversee legal agreements, conditions precedent, and loan disbursement processes.
• Maintain accurate loan application and portfolio records.
• Monitor loan performance following disbursement in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Manage loan adjustments, extensions, restructures, and post-investment support activities.
• Oversee collections processes and implement recovery strategies to minimise impairments and bad debt exposure.
• Coordinate recovery efforts through internal resources and external debt collection partners.
• Maintain strong client relationships and support customer retention initiatives.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual lending reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and internal lending policies.
• Manage and develop team performance to achieve operational objectives and service excellence.
• Support staff development through coaching, training, and continuous learning initiatives.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of lending policies, procedures, and operational frameworks.
• Monitor market trends and regulatory developments and recommend process improvements.
• Participate in strategic projects, product development initiatives, and process optimisation activities.

Requirements:

• Relevant Degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in credit, lending, or financial services environments.
• Previous experience supervising or leading a team would be advantageous.
• Strong credit assessment and credit risk management experience.
• Sound understanding of lending principles, loan administration, collections, and recoveries.
• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving, organisational, and time management abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and lending or credit management systems.
• Ability to assess risk-return trade-offs and develop practical risk mitigation solutions.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
