RPO Recruitment’s client is a leading mining company in the Northern Cape. They are urgently seeking the expertise of a Junior Rock Engineer to join their team of professionals in Kathu. The Junior Rock Engineer will assist the team in designing and supporting stable excavations in rock.
Responsibilities:
- Strata control inspections
- Incident investigation
- Rock engineering input
- Geotechnical data
- Slope stability analysis
- Monitoring
- Limit blast quality assurance/ quality control
- Mining control of special areas
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Degree in Rock Engineering / Geology / Mining
- Completed at least 2 Rock Mechanics Certificate Modules
- Strata Control Certificate
- 7 – 10 years’ strata control experience in an opencast mining environment
Benefits:
