Junior Procurement Administrator – Construction Industry Contract

RPO Recruitment’s client, a reputable and growing building contractor based in Gauteng is seeking a Junior Procurement Administrator to join their Commercial and Procurement team. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented individual looking to build a long-term career within the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process purchase orders, invoices, delivery notes, and related procurement documentation on Buildsmart
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
• Maintain supplier records and procurement registers
• Coordinate material and plant deliveries with site teams
• Reconcile supplier statements and assist with resolving account queries
• Assist with procurement reporting, cost tracking, and comparative quotation analysis
• Ensure procurement documentation is accurately filed and maintained
• Support the Commercial and Procurement departments with general administrative functions
• Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors regarding procurement-related matters

Requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12
• Qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field will be advantageous
• 1–2 years’ experience in a procurement or administrative position
• Previous exposure to the construction industry is beneficial
• Working knowledge of Buildsmart is essential
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong organisational and communication skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in at least two of the following languages: English, Afrikaans, Zulu

Benefits:

Salary:  R240K – R300K CTC per annum
