Fire Engineer – Building Services Mechanical Engineer Full Time

Our client, s seeking a Building Services Mechanical Engineer specializing in Fire Engineering to join their Cape Town head office. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified fire engineering professional with 5+ years’ experience.

Requirements:

• BTech in Mechanical Engineering / BEng in Mechanical Engineering
• Already registered with ECSA (Pr.Eng / Pr.Tech.Eng) or Candidate registration acceptable with commitment to full registration
• Fluency in both English and Afrikaans (essential)
• Software proficiencies (fire modeling, hydraulic calculations, CAD)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Fire Engineering within building services environment
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with SANS deemed-to-satisfy fire safety design (essential)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with rational fire safety design (essential)
• Fire modeling software (FDS, CFAST, PyroSim) advantageous
• Exposure to diverse building types and fire engineering challenges
• Valid driver’s license
• Own reliable transport
