Financial Manager Full Time

RPO’s client is seeking an experienced and driven Financial Manager to join their dynamic team at a hospitality property in the Richards Bay area. The ideal candidate will have a solid financial background, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to support transformation goals within the business.

Duties & Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

• Prepare monthly management accounts, forecasts, and annual budgets in line with accounting standards and company policies.
• Compile year-end financial statements and tax schedules.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of statutory taxes, levies, and related obligations.
• Approve and review monthly payment schedules.

Controls & Compliance

• Monitor, review, and continuously improve accounting and internal control systems.
• Safeguard company assets and ensure strict compliance with financial protocols.
• Assist auditors during interim and final audits by preparing relevant schedules and documentation.
• Comply with ad hoc financial and administrative directives from Head Office.

Transformation & B-BBEE

• Support and drive transformation initiatives to achieve and maintain B-BBEE Level 1 status.
• Assist with B-BBEE verification and documentation for audit purposes.

Operational Support & Cost Control

• Monitor operational costs and implement controls to drive efficiency and cost savings.
• Engage regularly with employees, guests, and key stakeholders to maintain service and operational standards.

Minimum Requirements

• BCom degree in Financial Management or Financial Accounting (essential).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a relevant financial management role.
• Hospitality industry experience will be advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines independently.
• Ability to work well under pressure and liaise confidently at all levels of the organisation.
