Diesel Mechanic Full Time

RPO Recruitment is actively seeking a dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our client’s team in Middelburg. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a range of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment used in various applications. This role is ideal for a reliable and skilled mechanic who thrives in a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of diesel machinery and vehicles
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs
• Replace parts and components as required
• Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance work
• Perform preventative maintenance to prolong the life of equipment
• Adhere to safety and environmental regulations
• Collaborate with team members to address repairs in a timely manner

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Diesel Mechanic Trade Certificate
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in diesel mechanics, preferably in a similar environment
• Strong understanding of diesel engines and related systems
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Effective communication skills
• Valid driver’s license
