RPO Recruitment is actively seeking a skilled Credit Analyst to join our client in Rosebank, Johannesburg. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated financial professional to support the management of fixed income portfolios, including money market, income, bond, and medical funds. Responsibilities:
Conduct credit research on companies and governments whose debt investments are considered.
Monitor changes in credit conditions of current investments to identify attractive trading opportunities.
Perform in-depth research on potential new investment opportunities.
Work closely with the fixed income portfolio manager in analyzing credit risk.
Prepare detailed research reports and present findings to the team.
Participate in the management of multi-managed portfolios.
Contribute to broader activities within the public markets investment team, including discretionary management of institutional and retail funds and advisory consulting to institutional funds.
Requirements:
Honours degree in a related field (Finance, Mathematics, etc.).
CFA qualification is advantageous.
2 to 4 years of experience in credit analysis.
Self-starter with strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
Ability to conduct independent research and offer well-informed opinions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in presenting findings effectively.
