Actuarial Analyst – Financial Services – R300K – R500K Full Time

RPO’s client, which offers coverage throughout sub-Saharan Africa with an emphasis on life, non-life, and microinsurance, is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to join their vibrant team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be interested in developing a career in the actuarial consulting profession. The actuarial analyst will provide clients with global consulting solutions with regards to risk and capital management, financial reporting, product development and new market entry.

Responsibilities:

• Industry analysis & research
• Training
• Planning, execution, and project delivery
• Preparing and reviewing actuarial reports for internal and external stakeholders – Direct client engagements and networking
• Coding, data analysis and model development

Requirements:

• 0-1 Years of professional experience
• Able to work from home (hybrid position)
• Bachelors or Masters in a relevant field (Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, etc.)
• Pursuing actuarial examinations from a recognized professional body/institute
• Thorough understanding of actuarial subjects studied thus far.
• Willingness to learn and ask questions Analytical and communication skills
• Driven and self-motivated
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel or VBA programming
