RPO Recruitment’s client, a well-established mining company in the Northern Cape, is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team of professionals. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing organization.
Responsibilities:
- Full Payroll function
- IFRS and SARS Compliance
- Maintenance of the fixed asset register
- Depreciation calculations
- VAT EMP201/501 return filing and attending to SARS requirements, Cash and Bank Management.
- Executive Reporting and Annual Business Planning.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Pastel/SAGE, VIP Payroll/SAGE
- Minimum 3 – 5 years’ related experience, prior experience in a Finance role within a mining environment is highly desirable
- MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
