Job Title: Accountant / Bookkeeper

Location: Johannesburg South

A leading mining and civil construction company is looking for an experienced Accountant / Bookkeeper with strong experience in the mining or construction sector to join their team in Johannesburg South. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated financial professional to drive financial accuracy and operational efficiency by managing daily transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial statements. Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliations.
• Reconcile bank statements, general ledgers, and other financial accounts.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial reports and insights.
• Assist with payroll processing.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10-15 years of experience as an Accountant or Bookkeeper.
• Demonstrated experience in the mining or construction sector is essential.
• Proven track record in managing financial records and performing core accounting functions.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• High level of integrity, honesty, and reliability.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to work on-site at the company’s Johannesburg South office.
