RPO Recruitment’s client in the Mining Industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Shaft Foreman in Limpopo. The Shaft Foreman will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the safe, efficient, and legally compliant operation of shaft activities in an underground platinum mine. This role will involve supervising hoisting operations, maintaining shaft infrastructure, and ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards to achieve production targets.
Duties:
- Ensuring the safe and efficient shaft operations
- Ensuring the hoisting of people, material and ore is efficient
- Comply with legal requirements and mine standards
- Ensuring that spillage, belts, chairlift and material declined are maintained and in running order
- Promote Zero Harm initiative
Requirements:
- Grade 12 Certificate
- N3 Engineering
- A blasting Certificate
- An Onsetter’s Certificate
- A Foreman Certificate
- At least 5 years experience as a Shaft Foreman
- Experience with backfill installations will be an advantageous
- Computer literate
- Shaft Legal Course
