Our client, a well-established professional consulting firm in Johannesburg, specialising in construction cost management and quantity surveying, is seeking a seasoned Professional Quantity Surveyor (PrQS) to lead and manage high-value projects (R50 million+). This role includes overseeing internal project teams, mentoring junior staff, and acting as Principal Agent on complex building and engineering contracts (JBCC, NEC, FIDIC).
Requirements:
- BSc Hons degree in Quantity Surveying
- Registered PrQS with SACQSP
- 10+ years post-registration experience
- Strong background in both building and engineering projects
- Experience in a consulting environment essential
- ASAQS membership preferred
- Lead full project lifecycle from inception to close-out
- Drive value engineering and cost control innovations
- Chair consultant and contractor meetings
- Use industry-standard software (QsPlus, WinQS, Dimension X)
- Business development involvement
