RPO Recruitment’s client, leading and well-established civil engineering consulting firm based in Cape Town is seeking an experienced and well qualified Professional Civil Engineer to join their dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage engineering projects from inception to completion
- Support clients with project planning, funding, and approvals
- Develop and review civil designs, drawings, and technical reports
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards
- Supervise design, drafting, and detailing teams
- Conduct and participate in design reviews and technical audits
- Prepare budgets, monitor project finances, and control man-hours
- Oversee contract documentation, specifications, and construction administration
- Manage project documentation, reporting, and archiving
- Engage in business development, tendering, and client relations
- Mentor and train junior engineers and technical staff
- Assist with staff resource planning and training programs
- Perform additional duties as required by management
Requirements:
- BSc/BEng/BTech degree in Civil Engineering
- Pr Eng/Pr Tech Eng registration with ECSA
- Minimum 8-12 years’ experience in the civil engineering field
- Experience in the planning, design, and contract administration of roads, sewerage systems, water systems, and stormwater systems
- Experience in Contract Administration
- Ability to lead and oversee Technicians, Draughting personnel and Engineers
- Proficiency in Civil Designer, AutoCAD, Civil 3D
