Job Title: Geology Manager

RPO Recruitment’s client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geology Manager to join their team in the mining industry in Limpopo. The Geology Manager will be responsible for leading a team of geologists and overseeing all geological activities at our mining operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement geological exploration programs to identify potential mining sites
- Supervise and mentor a team of geologists and other technical staff
- Conduct geological surveys, mapping, and sampling to determine the mineral potential of mining sites
- Analyze geological data and prepare accurate reports and recommendations for management
- Monitor drilling operations and interpret drilling results to guide decision-making
- Collaborate with other departments such as mining engineering and environmental management to ensure efficient and safe operations
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices in geology
Qualifications:
- BSc Honors degree in Geology or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Registration as a “professional scientist” with the SA Council for Natural
- Scientific Professions is essential
- Membership of the Geological Society of SA is essential.
- At least 8 years of experience in geological exploration and mining operations
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing geology teams
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in geological software and data analysis tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic mining environment
