RPO Recruitment’s Client is urgently seeking the expertise of an Quality Controller Stores in the Northern Cape. The successful candidate will manage quality of items purchased according to specifications and standards, to ensure correct specifications of stock items and to address audit requirements and maintenance of stock items.
Responsibilities:
- Inspection of Critical Spares Received: Conduct thorough visual and technical inspections of critical spare parts upon receipt to ensure conformity with purchase order specifications, engineering drawings, and quality standards.
- Technical Assistance for Procurement: Provide technical input during the procurement process, including review of specifications, material requirements, and scope of work to ensure alignment with operational needs.
- Supplier Evaluation: Participate in the assessment and evaluation of suppliers based on quality, delivery reliability, technical capability, and compliance with company standards.
- Compiling of Service Level Agreements (SLAs): Draft and review Service Level Agreements to clearly define performance expectations, service quality standards, responsibilities, penalties, and turnaround times.
- Cataloguing of Stock Items: Create and maintain accurate material master data records for all stock items, including part numbers, descriptions, units of measure, and criticality.
- Maintenance Management: Support the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities, including the identification of spare parts, materials, and tools
- Technical Assistance for Category Managers: Provide engineering or technical insight to category managers during the development of category strategies, supplier selection, and negotiations.
- SHERQ Adherence and Compliance in Own Area of Work
- Work Ethics: Demonstrate a high level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism in all tasks and interactions.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Trade test with a minimum of N4 Engineering Certificate
- 5 years plus operational quality control experience in a Supply Chain environment
- 2 years plus operational artisan experience (Recommended)
